My design process

I have deployed several sites and throughout the years have developed a process to make working with me smooth and easy.

  1. Speak with you to find out exactly what your needs are. Every project is different, and needs to be looked at on an individual basis.
  2. Gather a list of sites you like. This way I can ensure the final design will have the look and feel you want to achieve. Getting content and feature ideas from competitor pages is also a good idea at this stage.
  3. Create an initial mockup design and get your feedback. Changes to the overall design can be made early in the design process, to avoid headaches further down the road.
  4. Continue perfecting the mockup design based on your feedback & suggestions.
  5. Take the mockup design and code it into a working template, with filler content so you can see the site in action.
  6. Modify this design mockup based on your feedback & suggestions.
  7. Finalize the design and begin the content design and layout phase. This is where the majority of project time is spent. I make sure your content is organized in the most logical and thoughtful way possible.
  8. After the project is fully completed in a test environment, I will work with your current web host, or suggest a different one based on the requirements of your site, to guarantee a smooth launch.
